On This Day: Jose Aldo promoted to UFC featherweight champion

On this day 5 years ago, the UFC promoted Jose Aldo from the WEC champion to the inaugural UFC featherweight champion.
Aldo has gone on to defend the title 7 times, and has remained the only UFC featherweight champion.
He will look to defend his championship once more at UFC 194 when he fights Conor McGregor on December 12th in a title unification bout.
