UFC's Aljamain Sterling: 'I Might Have To Retire And Get A Full Time Job'

UFC bantamweight Aljamain Sterling is currently ranked 6 in the division, has a three fight win streak and two finishes. Yet, he’s not feeling so great about the way things are going right now. Sterling took to Instagram to vent his frustration. Sterling posted a photoshopped image of him saying that he might have to retire and get a full time job because he can’t get anyone to fight him.

A proposed bantamweight bout between Norifumi Yamamoto (18-6 MMA) and Matt Hobar (9-3 MMA) has been scratched from this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 75 event in Japan, this after both fighters suffered undisclosed injuries in training. UFC.com reported the news earlier today.

Joe Lauzon and Michael Chiesa met in the octagon back in September of 2014. The fight seemed to be on pace to be a war, then in the second round it was stopped. Chiesa had suffered a gruesome cut over his eyebrow and it there was blood everywhere. The cut was super deep and after stopping the fight to have it checked out by a doctor, the referee waved off the bout when the doctor recommended him to. Obviously the alway game Chiesa was upset and was still ready to go. Well, it sounds like he might still be talking about it and Lauzon seems to be tired of hearing it.

Hendricks was expected for a while to be getting the next title shot, a trilogy fight with champion Robbie Lawler. However the UFC pulled a quick one and gave the fight to Carlos Condit instead. Hendricks was of course upset, but has since said he’s ready to just fight and he’s done campaigning for fights.

Barnett became a superstar in Japan while fighting under the PRIDE banner, posting a record of 6-3 with the promotion, while battling the likes of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Mirko Filipovic, Aleksander Emelianenko and Mark Hunt.

The report claims the UFC sent out an email with the results, but accidentally sent it to the wrong group of people. Then they sent out another email telling them to ignore it and delete it ASAP.
