Light heavyweight fighter Phil Davis is set to make his Bellator MMA debut on the promotions biggest card yet, this Saturday’s ‘Dynamite’ event. Davis will be one of four fighters competing in the one-night tournament to determine the next title challenger. In his first fight he will be facing former champ Emanuel Newton. If he can get past Newton he’ll meet the winner of ‘King Mo’ Lawal vs. Linton Vassell in the final.

The Nick Diaz suspension news has made its way to ESPN and hosts of ‘First Take’, Stephen A Smith and Skip Bayless, spent some time discussing it. They talked about how Ronda Rousey spoke up for Diaz and said they should’t even be testing for marijuana and then went on about how the only thing that matters is that Diaz broke the rules and did something he knew he wasn’t allowed to do.

UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey stated what many might have already said, that she’s the greatest fighter in the world. Is that everyone’s opinion? No, but it’s hard to argue that someone so dominant and nearly flawless in victory should not at least be considered at the top. She’s not everyone’s cup of tea, fine. Whether it be because she’s a women or because you think her opponents aren’t a certain caliber, whatever it is, fine. But the facts don’t lie. She’s the UFC’s biggest star and a massive one outside of the sport as well.

UFC lightweight Donald Cerrone is looking to cash in on his recent feud with interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor. The two went back and forth at the UFC’s ‘GO BIG’ press conference, with McGregor calling him stiff and wooden and Cerrone firing back with comments about him being a leprechaun and saying that he’d get bent over if he came up to lightweight.

Leslie Smith (7-6-1 MMA) is the latest UFC fighter to refuse to fight in Nevada following the NSAC’s five-year suspension of Nick Diaz. The women’s bantamweight competitor took to her Sqor account to announce her decision:

UFC heavyweight Matt Mitrione didn’t really like what UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes had to say about Nick Diaz’s recent controversial five year suspension. Hughes, the Vice President of Athlete Development and Government Relations for the UFC, put out a tweet saying that he felt the five years was excessive, but added that he didn’t agree with Diaz’s attitude during the hearing and thinks that probably didn’t help him out.

Back at UFC 159 ‘Big Country’ Roy Nelson took on fellow heavyweight Cheick Kongo. The fight never made it out of the first round as Nelson managed to land one of his brutal right hands with less than two minutes left. Kongo had his back to the cage and made the mistake of standing right in front of Nelson for a split second. Then he got dropped. Nelson followed up with a punch that caused Kongo to go limp and that was that. The referee stepped in and called a stop the fight.

The fight hasn’t even happened yet but according to UFC president Dana White, he’s already made plans for Conor McGregor’s first title defense. White spoke on the NRL Footy Show and mentioned that he already tole the Irishman that if he beats Jose Aldo at UFC 194, on Dec. 12, then he’ll get to defend his belt for the first time at Dublin’s Croke Park, a massive stadium capable of holding 80,000 fans.

It seemed like a lot of fans were waiting to see if UFC commentator Joe Rogan was going to speak out about the Nick Diaz five year suspension. He did, via Twitter and showed support for Diaz, even going so far as to send out the contact info for the NSAC. Well on a recent episode of this podcast, Rogan talked even more about the situation.

The Rock took to Instagram to share a photo, as he does often, and included an inspirational caption. This time around though he was sporting an old school BJ Penn shirt while pumping some serious iron.

UFC strawweight ‘Rowdy’ Bec Rawlings is giving you the chance to own some of the gear from her Invicta FC days. Maybe it was washed, maybe it wasn’t, that’s a part of the thrill. The fighter took to Twitter to announce the auction, which is taking place on her Facebook apparently.

Well UFC welterweight Hector Lombard has been asking for a fight with Rory MacDonald and it looks like he’ll be getting it. According to a report on Wednesday’s UFC Tonight, the UFC is putting the fight together and both fighters are close to signing and making things official.

One of the biggest signs of support for Nick Diaz so far has been from the UFC’s biggest star, bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. Rousey took a moment during her big UFC 193 press conference to unleash her fury on the Nevada State Athletic Commission for suspending Diaz for five years and fining him $165,000. She expressed her feelings, saying that she doesn’t’ believe they should even be testing or marijuana.

UFC light heavyweight Glover Teixeira wasn’t very happy when he heard champion Daniel Cormier was saying he needed to wait around longer before challenging for the title. Teixeira told Brazilian media outlet Combate that Cormier should stick to fighting, which is his job, and stop trying to book his fights for him.

This Saturday at Bellator ‘Dynamite’ ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ will look to capture the light heavyweight title from the current champ, Liam McGeary. Ortiz is currently riding a two fight win streak, with wins over Stephan Bonnar and former Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko.

Well it was announced earlier today, by the fighter herself, that Paige VanZant had signed a new contract with the UFC. In the tweet she sent out announcing the news she also said that she finalized her next fight and had an opponent. She didn’t release who, but now we know. According to the UFC, VanZant will take on dangerous striker Joanne Calderwood on Dec. 10 in Las Vegas. The scrap will headline a Fight Night event, which will be broadcast exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
