If you aren’t familiar with UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor’s quote from the UFC GO BIG event last year, it has been quite the buzz. A song was even made with a remix of the fighter’s quotes from the event. McGregor said “It’s red panty night when you sign on to fight me, back at home with your wife, it’s a celebration,” due to the draw and money McGregor has brought in his fights with his opponents. A fan has taken it to the next level creating their own rendition of the “red panty night” fight between the champions Conor McGregor and lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos.

UFC veteran Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone has already lost a lot of money in endorsement deals after the UFC struck an exclusive apparel and uniform deal with Reebok. Cerrone is losing out on even more money with Reebok blunders after his UFC title fight with Rafael dos Anjos, which took place on Dec. 19. Cerrone wore a patch on his UFC Reebok uniform in his fight against dos Anjos in honor of his terminally ill grandmother, in which he received a fine for. Cowboy said in a tweet that the fine was hefty one after a fan questioned the fine price, and later went on to say that he’ll continue to take the fine and has absolutely no regrets honoring his loved one.

In the new era of random drug testing, fighters truly have no clue when their doors will be knocked on to give a random sample for drug testing. Understandably, high-profile fighters and champions have been the most tested under the new policy. While the general consensus is that the random drug testing is good for the sport, fighters who have failed tests disagree for obvious reasons.

The UFC is expanding in 2016 with a recent announcement of taking events to Croatia and Netherlands for the first time. James Elliott, UFC EMEA general manager and vice president said in a statement, “”It is truly a testimony to the growth of the UFC brand to be breaking into two new markets in Europe in the first half of 2016.” Elliott added, “The fans have been demanding local live events and we will not disappoint with two compelling shows.”

Late last night it was revealed that a lightweight showdown between champion Rafael dos Anjos and UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor had been scheduled for UFC 197. The UFC had yet to make the bout announcement official, however Kings MMA coach Rafael Cordeiro confirmed everything is good to go in a recent interview with Sherdog.

Big news was recently released that UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor would be going up from 145 pounds to 155 pounds to challenge lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. Early betting odds from Best Fight Odds have been released. As of this writing, Conor McGregor has come out as the underdog at +100 while dos Anjos who is the champion of the higher weight class is listed at -130.
