It looks like the Nick Diaz suspension news has made it into the mainstream media. On FS1’s ‘The Herd’ host Colin Cowherd talked about Ronda Rousey going off about testing for marijuana. He spoke for a while, agreeing with Rousey and saying that with all these athletes go through and all the chronic pain they accumulate, why should’t they be able to medicate. He said they shouldn’t be testing for marijuana, something a lot of other fighters and fans have been saying for a long time.

We’ve heard from tons of fighters who have spoken out about the Nick Diaz’s five year suspension, even a few who have pledged to boycott Nevada because of it. From UFC champion Ronda Rousey to UFC commentator Joe Rogan, they’ve all showed support for Diaz and have criticized the commissions decision.

UFC bantamweight Miesha Tate hasn’t talked a lot about being passed over for the title shot by Holly Holm, except for a statement on her Instagram and a recent interview at an Invicta FC event where she said it was heartbreaking. Well last night the number one contender joined ‘UFC Tonight’ and talked a little more about the situation.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship is heading back to London for the second time. The last time London held a UFC event it was headlined by Alexander Gustafsson vs. Jimi Manuwa. Gus ended up winning that night, finishing Manuwa via TKO in the second round.

The Hawaiian fighter took to Instagram to share a funny picture with his fans, one showing him lying on the floor with an icepack on his nose, while his young son stands over him with boxing gloves on. We got another episode of the new season of The Ultimate Fighter on Wednesday night and that means we got to listen to more hilarious back and forth from coaches Conor McGregor and Uriah Faber. One of the funniest parts took place between the coaches while they stood next to each other in the hall way. Everything from big heads, to big chins, to ‘Pietons!’ were fired off during the verbal assault.

On Wednesday’s episode of The Ultimate Fighter we finally got to see just how coach Conor McGregor would interact with his team. There was a lot of talk before the season even started about how McGregor really didn’t do much actual coaching. Even McGregor said he wasn’t looking to train anyone on his team. Well he basically stuck to that in this episode, aside from when he demonstrated his unique way of training to the team, then had them go at it.

The show picked up exactly where last week’s left off with Team America and Team Europe’s teams finalized in the Ultimate Fighter Gym. Coach Conor McGregor rallied his team together in the locker room for an extremely unique speech that one wouldn’t expect to hear from a “positive” coach. McGregor presented the harsh reality that the fighters in the locker room aren’t friends, nor are they truly teammates; “We are all on our OWN journey,” McGregor told them. “Come in here and handle your OWN business.” “The Notorious” went on to explain that his purpose of the show is to build champions, not journey men. It was an interesting first speech to his team, but it ironically seemed to bring them together, helping them realize they can aid each other while reaching for their own ultimate goal: A UFC contract.

UFC heavyweight Josh Barnett made headlines earlier this week when he was said to be competing against Chael Sonnen at the next Metamoris event. Who said that? Sonnen himself. Unfortunately, Barnett had no idea what he was talking about and said that he was not scheduled to go against Sonnen.

You know, when he was talking about how the show isn’t like Survivor, where people get voted off, instead you need to ‘beat them off.’ Yeah, well UFC champion Ronda Rousey might have made her own slip up. At the UFC 193 press conference in Melbourne, Australia the champ was talking about her fight with Holly Holm when she said something that didn’t really sound right.

UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo has had some controversy surrounding his drug tests of late, especially with that odd situation where a tester was told he was going to be deported. Interim champ Conor McGregor has also taken shots at the champ, saying that he’s not even getting tested over in Brazil. Well, now it looks like Aldo is taking that statement and throwing it back in Mystic Mac’s face.

UFC 193 will take place on Nov. 14 in Melbourne, Australia at Etihad Stadium. The UFC booked a massive stadium and are hoping with champion Ronda Rousey as the headline they will be able to break the all time attendance record. We’ll have to wait to see if they can pull that off, but one thing’s for sure, people in the nosebleed sections are going to have to keep their eyes on that giant screen because there’s no way they’re going to be able to see what’s happening in the octagon.

Almost immediately after Nick Diaz was suspended for five years and fined $165,000, former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen took to social media and began selling #FreeNickDiaz shirts. After that there were reports that Diaz’s lawyers said they were going to look into the sales because Sonnen didn’t have permission to use his name. Well, apparently it’s all good. Sonnen told BloodyElbow that he and Nick have an agreement and that they are Nick’s shirts.
