UFC's Paying For Gastelum's Nutritionist And Matt Brown Isn't Happy

UFC welterweights Matt Brown and Kelvin Gastelum are set to square off at the UFC’s next trip to Mexico, on Nov. 21. The two will headline the event, which will serve as the TUF Latin America 2 Finale. It will be Gastelum’s return to welterweight after a short stint at middleweight. A stint that was forced on him by UFC president Dana White. Gastelum had issues making weight several times and was eventually kicked out of the division and forced to move up.

In light of the recent five year suspension handed to Nick Diaz by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, top UFC flyweight and olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo has stated that he will refuse to fight in Nevada moving forward. The suspension has been a massive topic in the MMA world for the past few days, with just about every fighter you could think of coming forward with their thoughts, mostly in support of Diaz.

The new season of The Ultimate Fighter is currently running on the air, with a new episode set to debut on Wednesday night. The first episode was a smash success, with rating going through the roof. A question a lot of fans had, leading up to the premiere, was just how the dynamic between coaches Urijah Faber and Conor McGregor play out. We had that strange altercation backstage at UFC 189, which took place right before they were announced as coaches. Then since then we’ve had interviews and what not, that added little more fuel to the fire. But ultimately, when the show premiered, we saw a light hearted and more respectful banter between the two. Sure, they’re still taking jabs at each other, but Faber and Conor have said several times recently that they got along fine.

Nick Diaz's Legal Team Aren't Finished, Plan To Fight 5 Year Suspension

Nick Diaz was handed a highly controversial suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Monday. They gave him a five year suspension and fined him $165,000 for his failed drug test from UFC 183. Anderson Silva, who was Diaz’s opponent for UFC 183, also failed his drug tests, except his tested positive for steroids. He received a one year suspension from the commission.
