With the recent report coming out that calls into question the United States Anti-Doping practices, regarding a situation where Floyd Mayweather used a banned IV, a lot wondered about the UFC’s new partnership with USADA. Well, UFC’s Jeff Novitsky, VP of athlete health and performance, insists that the promotion has not lost any trust with USADA and will continued their partnership with them.

He was asked about UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor and said he likes his fighting, but isn’t so sure about all the stuff he does outside of the octagon.

A few weeks back UFC champion Ronda Rousey was asked to the Marine Corps Ball by a marine who made a video, published it online, and then watched it go viral. The video has well over four million views and it’s probably still going. Well of course Rousey saw the video and shocked some people by saying of course she would go with him.

Conor McGregor is back home, in Ireland, so there’s a chance we won’t be seeing much of him until UFC 194 gets closer. Chance, but not likely. The UFC gets this guy to do anything and everything to promote fights. Just put him in front of a camera and let him talk, that’s basically the UFC’s marketing strategy.

There’s still no official word on when UFC bantamweight Miesha Tate will fight next. There were reports that she would be fighting Amanda Nunes at UFC 194, on Dec. 12, but since then we’ve heard no confirmation from the UFC and Nunes sent out a tweet telling Tate everyone was waiting for her. Tate was expected to face off with Ronda Rousey, for the third time, but the UFC decided to go a different direction and gave the title shot to Holly Holm.

Jon Jones is still out of action, with no end in sight, following that alleged hit and run incident. The UFC suspended him indefinitely and stripped him of his title. He’s currently waiting to see if felony charges will be brought against him. We really haven’t seen much of Jones, aside from a little bit of train footage and some videos of him working with kids.

Yesterday, on Thursday, it was reported that USADA granted UFC heavyweight Frank Mir a therapeutic use exemption for Adderall ahead of his fight with Andrei Arlovski. It was also reported that after that, the Nevada State Athletic Commission then denied that same exemption, before the fight with Arlovski. It’s a little confusing.

Good news, UFC heavyweight Andrei Arlovski will not need to be out with any sort of injures following his win over Frank Mir at UFC 191. Arlovski spoke on Submission Radio recently and let everyone know that he’s fine, just a few bumps and bruises and would like to get back in the octagon as soon as December.

UFC middleweight Luke Rockhold has been making the rounds, doing press to promote UFC 194 and his fight against the champ, Chris Wiedman. The fight isn’t going down until Dec. 12, but hey, the UFC likes to get a head start on promoting.

Earlier this week it was revealed that UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey would be starring in the new remake of ‘Road House’, the classic film in which Patrick Swayze was the star in the original. Rousey will be taking on the lead role and apparently the story will be tweaked a little bit.

Former Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez (26-4 MMA) recently took to twitter to announce that his rumoured fight with former UFC lightweight champ Anthony Pettis (18-3 MMA) is official for the UFC’s January fight card in Boston. @Ealvarezfight: “It’s official, at first I just wanted the guy, now I got location too, thank you @ufc @danawhite, gonna blow the roof off Beantown!!”

She’s happy where she is, as the Invicta FC champ and says she doesn’t want to have to censor herself just to be a part of the UFC.
