At UFC 194 last month, not only was a new middleweight champion crowned as Luke Rockhold defeated Chris Weidman for the UFC middleweight championship, the #1 contender at middleweight was also determined as Yoel Romero defeated Jacare Souza. While there’s been no word on who Luke Rockhold will face in his first title defense, Jacare is looking to get a rematch with Romero, or a fight with Chris Weidman.

However, Holm revealed her feelings with FOX Sports on how she felt she did that night she shocked the world. “I don’t feel that was my full potential,” Holm told FOX Sports at UFC 194 when speaking about her fight with Rousey. “I feel like if that’s my full potential, then I should retire because I don’t feel like I’m going to get better.

In December reports were released that UFC women’s bantamweight fighter Julianna Pena was arrested and charged with two counts of assault by the Spokane Police Department in Washington. Details later emerged of the incident where Pena allegedly kicked two men in the groin. Pena and fellow fighter Joshua Gow apparently were trying to make their way into a closed establishment’s restroom to clean up from a bar fight outside.

In addition to the speculation of who Conor McGregor’s next opponent will be, there has been much speculation as to what weight class his next fight will be at. While some want McGregor and Jose Aldo to have an immediate rematch, Frankie Edgar is still waiting for the title shot he was promised. In addition, McGregor stated prior to his UFC 194 KO win over Aldo that he would like to go up to lightweight after that fight.

While Holm stated that she would like to stay active, the UFC brass seemed adamant that Holm sit out and wait for a rematch with Rousey, potentially at UFC 200.

A fake profile pretending to be Conor McGregor (to clarify Conor McGregor himself did not write the message) put out a response to Mayweather’s recent claims of Ronda Rousey and McGregor finding success due to racism still being prevalent in combat sports.
