Mir has won two straight, knock out victories over Bigfoot Silva and Todd Duffee, but before that he was on a rough four fight losing streak, which included two TKO losses.

He also mentions that it might not seem so now, but the things fighters do to cut weight for every fight might end up taking years off of their lives in the long run. The scary part is that Miller admits compared to some other fighters, his cut isn’t even considered to be on the ‘extreme’ side.

Since then Dodson has been laying claim that the belt should belong to him and that he’s the only one that’s even rocked the champ, dropping him a few times in their first fight. He isn’t sure why everyones talking about current bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw and flyweight king Demetrious Johnson as p4p fighters when he’s better than both of them. Dodson said, at a recent UFC 191 media lunch, that he’s tired of those two being put up there with the best when he already KO’s Dillashaw and in his mind, defeated Johnson.

It appears that UFC bantamweight Bethe Correia got huge wake up call following her 34 second KO loss to the champ, Ronda Rousey, and now she’s stepping things up in order to come back stronger than ever. The formerly undefeated Brazilian will now be leaving her home country in order to go to San Jose, CA, where she will apparently be training at AKA, the home of current light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and upcoming middleweight title challenger Luke Rockhold. And that’s just naming a few. Needless to say it’s a great place to go if you’re looking to up your game.

It’s common knowledge that UFC bantamweights Miesha Tate and Holly Holm joined Invicta FC featherweight champ Cristiane Cyborg while they filmed the new movie, ‘Fight Valley.’ The three have been busy on social media sharing pictures of each other working on the film. Apparently they got pretty friendly with each other Holm even ended up providing Cyborg with a new sense of hope when it comes to making the 135 lb. weight class.

UFC bantamweight Raphael Assuncao is still out of action following his recent fibula surgery. Assuncao has been out of the octagon since his win over Bryan Caraway back in October 2014. Since then he’s been dealing with an ongoing issue with his ankle and leg. After going threw it for a while he realized that he would actually need to have surgery.

Because of UFC light heavyweight Anthony Johnson’s past domestic violence issues, UFC 191, which will take place this Saturday in Las Vegas, will be the target of a protest. The anti-domestic violence group ‘MMA Watchdog’ will be holding a protest rally outside of the event, according to Eventbrite.

Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar could have his sights set on earning not two but three UFC titles before he wraps up his career. On a recent episode of the “The Jon Anik and Kenny Florian Podcast”, Anik revealed that he had a conversation with one of Edgar’s coaches and found out that the current featherweight fighter might want to make another move down, to the bantamweight division, in order to challenge champion TJ Dillashaw.
