Sorry Reebok -- Brendan Schaub Shows Puma Some Love!
BJPENN.COM News - August 31, 2015
While some fighters participate in the sport solely because they appreciate the art of fighting while testing their skills, others have the ability to take a step back and consider the harm they’re putting their body though may not be worth the check they’re getting in return. This is the conclusion heavyweight Brendan Schaub came to when Reebok signed an exclusive deal with the UFC, barring fighters from wearing their sponsors to the octagon. Schaub claimed he stood to lose over $90,000 if he were to replace Reebok’s sponsor pay with the checks he was getting from his loyal sponsors and spoke out against the deal. He was quick to make it clear that he was against the deal for himself and understood that the partnership between UFC and Reebok could help some fighters, however.

BJPENN.COM News - August 31, 2015

The card takes place on November 28, 2015 in South Korea and will be Henderson’s second fight at 170. Redemption is on Alves’ mind as his last outing in the octagon was one fans will always remember, but also one he would like to forget. Carlos Condit and Alves put on an entertaining fight, but it turned one-sided very quickly and the doctor was forced to wave off the fight as Alves was taking too much punishment.

BJPENN.COM News - August 31, 2015
Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos’ hopes of finally getting to face Ronda Rousey went up in smoke after Holly Holm was named as the next contender to the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title. That doesn’t mean “Cyborg’s” hopes of becoming a UFC fighter aren’t going to happen, though. UFC President Dana White admitted that he would need to see “Cyborg” make weight and fight at bantamweight at least once before he lets her fight one of his biggest stars. Unfortunately, the bout would never happen as Aldo was forced out of the bout due to a rib injury. Instead, McGregor fought Chad “Money” Mendes who took the main-event fight on just two weeks’ notice. Mendes looked impressive, but it was obvious he only had two weeks to prepare. The Team Alpha Male standout lost the bout in the second round and watched as McGregor held the interim championship high above his head. Now, Mendes is looking for redemption in the form of a fully prepared rematch; One where Mendes can fit an actual training camp in.

Is Dana White teasing the signing of Fedor Emelianenko to UFC?
BJPENN.COM News - August 31, 2015

Emelianenko fighting in the octagon is something fight fans have wanted to see for a long time and it may actually become a reality. An unverified account which posts pictures of the former PRIDE Heavyweight Champion recently shared a photoshopped picture of Fedor standing next to the UFC banner, with the caption “Soon”.

Conor McGregor: Ronda Rousey and I are 'equal'
BJPENN.COM News - August 31, 2015
There is no denying the fact that Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey are two of the biggest stars in mixed martial arts today. “The Notorious” dished out impressive numbers for his main-event role in “UFC 189”, but “Rowdy” was essentially a one-woman-show with her more successful “UFC 190”. Both McGregor and Rousey have torn through all of the competition UFC officials put in front of them and they are both champions, but Rousey has defended her non-interim championship a total of six times— dominating each opponent. Despite the two being different gendered and in different weight classes, fans seem to constantly compare the two and it looks like McGregor is flattered by this.
