Holly Holm is nearly two months away from the biggest challenge of her professional fighting career and it sounds like she has an idea of what she is walking into. The two-fight veteran of the octagon will fly into Melbourne, Australia at UFC 193 to challenge Ronda Rousey for her UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship. The bookies were quick to label Holm as the heavy underdog, and she doesn’t blame them; She fears everything about “Rowdy”. “She’s got a well-rounded game. I’m not going in there thinking, ‘Oh, I only have to worry about— you know— grappling.’ I do know she has knockout power so I don’t feel like you guys are going to see what you’ve seen before with her,” Holm told Inside MMA earlier this week. “I fear everything about her. Standup, ground, clinch, all that. And I feel like that’s the way you need to be with any fighter.”

It’s no secret that the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey has little to no respect for the person that Floyd Mayweather is. His skills are undeniable, though; With an unblemished record of 48-0, nobody can argue the talent that is packed inside the gloves of “Money”. Whether the fight has any chances of happening or not, both the mixed martial arts and boxing communities haven’t hesitated to throw in their two cents on Rousey’s and Mayweather’s feud. Everybody from Conor McGregor to Dana White backed Rousey up, but very few respectable names in the boxing world have shown their support for the female bantamweight champion… until now.

Miesha Tate will be missing out on a major payday after getting overlooked for her shot at Ronda Rousey’s UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship. Rousey broke the news that Holly Holm would be next in line for an opportunity at gold in the main-event of UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia. The fight is set to take place at the Etihad Stadium which could house over 50,000 fans. Holm and her management are finally getting the check they feel they deserve.

Former lightweight champion Ben Henderson represented the UFC at the Abu Dhabi Combat Club on Saturday and came up short in his first match and only of the day. “Bendo” got submitted by Abdukadirov Magomed. Magomed took the back of Henderson who shortly tapped out after getting trapped in a rear naked choke attempt. Henderson shared his thoughts on his performance: “I think it was not a very good performance at all,” Henderson told MMA Fighting. “It was a downright terrible performance. I’m not used to having those type of terrible performances when I compete, I have better performances.”

UFC featherweight Jose Aldo was thought to be one of the most prolific fighters on the roster to speak out against USADA’s controversial plan to ban IV-bags as a method of rehydration after weigh-ins, but the champion has since changed his stance. Aldo made headlines earlier in July when he revealed that he was going to continue to use IV-bags when rehydrating after weigh ins, going as far to daring the USADA to catch him.

Fight fans will have to wait for a potential “fight of the year” matchup between UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit. The bout was scheduled to headline “UFC 193? in Melbourne, Australia but the champion suffered a thumb injury that forced him off of the card. As a result of the fight getting scrapped, Ronda Rousey’s next defense against Holly Holm has been announced as the new main event. “The Natural Born Killer” recently spoke with Inside MMA about “Ruthless'” injury and what it means for his future.

Claudia Gadelha has been itching for redemption since her sole loss to Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC on FOX in December 2014. The victory over Gadelha propelled Jedrzejczyk into a championship bout where she has since become one of the most popular champions the octagon has to offer. Gadelha was slated to be next in line to challenge Jedrzejczyk for her strawweight championship, but it looks like Valerie Letourneau could be in the mix for gold as well. Robbie Lawler recently feel victim to an injury that forced him out of his title defense with Carlos Condit at “UFC 193”. While the Australia card was looking for a new main event, UFC President Dana White was looking at Jedrzejczyk’s next title defense to be the new headliner.

Conor McGregor and Urijah Faber’s season of “The Ultimate Fighter” may be right around the corner, but a major bout featuring the last season of the show has just been announced! The last season of the reality show pit rival gyms American Top Team and Blackzilians against each other in a battle for supremacy. ATT’s most valuable player of the season Hayder Hassan is set to take on Vicente Luque in a rematch of the final fight of the season. UFC announced the fight earlier this week. American Top Team called upon Hassan three times throughout the competition and the welterweight walked out with three wins under his belt. Hassan gave ATT their first win of the season in the fifth episode when he knocked out Andrews Nakahara in the opening round. He would go on to defeat Felipe Portela and Luque by way of decision.

Much like you can purchase “game-worn” jerseys of your favorite football and hockey players, UFC fans can now own a one-of-a-kind piece of clothing! Michelle Waterson recently made her octagon debut at “The Ultimate Fighter: ATT vs. Blackzilians Finale” when she dominated Angela Magana before submitting her in the final round of their fight. The description in the store states that the shorts come with a certificate of authenticity, just in case you were concerned about being cheated out on a sweaty, used pair of shorts.

Even though Ronda Rousey’s next opponent is already lined up, Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino is not backing off the trash talk. Tito Ortiz has chosen to keep quiet on trying to make Rousey/Cyborg happen, but “Cyborg” knows a payday when she sees one. After Rousey’s quick disposal of “Pitbull” Bethe Correia at UFC 190, fans and fighters alike were clamoring for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion to finally fight “Cyborg”. After almost two weeks of speculation and rumors, UFC President Dana White laid the rumors to rest that the fight would take place at “Cowboy’s Stadium” in Dallas, Texas; Ortiz’s previous claims that it was happening were false and White didn’t even have the stadium booked.

The UFC recently released an official statement on Travis Browne’s domestic violence investigation and stated that Browne will be re-instated and continue his career with the UFC after their inquiry turned up inconclusive evidence that there was any wrongdoing. Now, UFC heavyweight Travis Browne has come forward and released his own statement regarding the UFC’s decision and investigation.

Late Friday night, UFC president Dana White went on Sportscenter and announced that Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm will be the main event of UFC 193, which will take place on Nov. 14 in Melbourne, Australia. It was originally scheduled to take place at UFC 195 on Jan. 2.
