Joe Rogan has a master plan that very well could make everyone happy.  One of the biggest challenges for Dana White and the UFC is to convince the fans that Ronda Rousey will be healthy and able to fight at UFC 200. Other key points that come up is we have a champ that wants to stay active and is being held back in fear of Holly Holm losing her belt to Miesha Tate.   Cat Zingano could get back in the hunt if she fights more than once a year she might get her second shot at Rousey after being submitted in 14 seconds.

UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov has been sidelined with injuries but is eyeing 2016 to be his year. Nurmagomedov appeared on the MMA Hour and shared his thoughts on the lightweight landscape as well as the featherweight champion Conor McGregor (transcribed by MMA Fighting): “I think, first of all, I need to stay healthy, and next year, I think March is a perfect date for me,” Nurmagomedov told Ariel Helwani on Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour. “I need to fight somebody in March and fight for the title maybe [at] UFC 200…This is my little dream now.”

Fans had juggled the idea of what would happen in a fight between former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and Invicta champion Cris Cyborg for quite some time. The big issue for the dream match to happen was the difference in weight classes. Cyborg who fights at the 145-pound featherweight class would have to drop down to Rousey’s 135-pound bantamweight division, and the fight never came to fruition. Current UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm is open to fighting at a higher weight class and meeting Cyborg for a fight fans would love to see. Holm spoke with the media ahead of UFC 194 on the potential champion versus champion match (transcribed by MMA Fighting):

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and veteran Matt Brown are in favor of the former UFC ranked pound-for-pound king Jose Aldo getting the immediate rematch with Conor McGregor. UFC Veteran Michael Bisping and former lightweight and featherweight title contender Kenny Florian recently shared their view about the topic (transcribed by Bloody Elbow): “No! It’s hard to justify.” Florian said on an episode of UFC Now. “Even if Jose Aldo has been champion for so long, it is difficult to justify a rematch after a 13 second fight. The other issue, if we’re going to get logistical here, is that Jose Aldo hasn’t been the healthiest of fighters. He’s not the most reliable of fighters. So to go set up a rematch against a guy who hasn’t been the most consistent heath-wise, is a very risky thing to do.”

An opponent for Middleweight UFC veteran Gegard Mousasi has been named for UFC Fight Night 83 taking place in London. Mousasi posted on his Facebook page that he will be meeting Thales Leites in the Octagon on Feb. 27 but later deleted the post.
