Several fighters had a rough time adjusting to the altitude change at “UFC 188”, but Marquardt was on the bring of exhaustion out in between rounds. Marquardt tried his hardest to press forward and end the fight early in the first two rounds, but fatigue mixed with punishment from Kelvin Gastelum forced his corner to stop the fight in between the second and third rounds.

Velasquez had a strong showing in the opening round, but fatigue started to become a factor for the former champion in the second round.
