While she may have ultimately lost the bout via submission, she earned the respect of many fans for her tremendous will to continue to fight despite being bloodied and battered. Frankie Edgar is really trying to do everything in his power to bait UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor into a fight rather than seeing ‘Notorious’ go up to lightweight. While it’s believed that McGregor will go up in weight to challenge the winner of Saturday’s Dos Anjos vs. Cerrone lightweight title fight, Edgar is hoping to get a crack at the featherweight title sooner rather than later after his 1st round KO of Chad Mendes.
