She went to a special school here for kids who were excellent at math and science, and we always thought when she was younger that she would always get her PHD in Oceanography or something like that. “So she realizes that she has a very short window remaining as an athlete and her opportunity is to make a few million dollars in those remaining years, rather than go to the Olympics and fight for free. She’s not that dumb.” In a new interview with “Submission Radio” Ronda Rousey’s mother AnnMaria De Mars, shot down any talks about an Olympic return for the UFC’s bantamweight champion.

Maybe she take him down 10 times and he’s done. But yesterday I read this. He say, ‘I grapple with Ronda Rousey.’ I think maybe seven or 10 times she take him down and he’s done, because Cowboy no like takedowns. He’s scared. He not like scared takedowns and he needs go kickboxing. But in MMA, this is very dangerous for him because you have fight with me, I am takedown machine. Twenty-one times, I have record. And when I have fight with him, I want new record. Maybe 25, 24. And after fight we talk about this. Don’t forget.”

“There’s a little part of me that’s jealous over the spotlight Paige is getting, because I did beat her. She’s fighting Felice and I think that’s a good match up for both of them. I think they’re at an equal level. I really want Felice to win because of the spotlight Paige is getting. I’m not saying she’s just a pretty face, but she’s not at the level I’m necessarily at, so I think I want Felice to win. “I’ve got to take that one back. I obviously – I lost a little bit of control in that fight. But this is part of the sport. We’re supposed to be able to lose control. We’re supposed to be able to like to hit guys. I’m not saying that was justified whatsoever; that was completely uncalled for. Shame on me for doing that. It makes me look bad, it makes my gym look bad, it looks bad for the sport. All I can say is, in that moment when it was happening, I obviously saw that I clipped him. I went in for the finish, and I had him on his back. It really shocked me how long the referee let it keep going for. I think he gave him plenty of chances to keep coming back. Even when he turned over and he turtled, up I was hitting him and I was still kind of like, ‘Where’s the ref?,’ because he was done.

Undisputed UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and challenger Conor McGregor will embark on a world press tour spanning eight cities in five countries over the course of 12 days to promote their upcoming championship bout at UFC 189: ALDO vs. McGREGOR on Saturday, July 11 at MGM Grand Garden Arena. The co-main event featuring newly cemented welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and the division’s No. 2 contender Rory MacDonald will also make appearances on the tour. UFC 189 will serve as the culminating event of the world’s largest MMA fan experience, International Fight Week, which takes place in Las Vegas – the home of the UFC.
