Nick Diaz returned to the octagon tonight and lost to Anderson “The Spider” Silva after five hard fought rounds. The fight went to decision and although Diaz did not agree with the judges’ scoring criteria, Diaz remained respectful toward Anderson Silva after the fight.

Georges St. Pierre stepped down as UFC Welterweight Champion in December of 2013 and announced he would temporarily retire. His return date is still up in the air, but Dana White mentioned he tried to get the former champion to fight in their upcoming Montreal card in April.
Woodley Will Give Weight Loss Penalty Back to Gastelum

Kelvin Gastelum was nearly ten pounds overweight going in to his bout with Tyron Woodley at “UFC 183” in Las Vegas. Gastelum was penalized with a 30% deduction in his fight purse. Woodley would be rewarded with that 30% by the commission for the inconvenience.
Miesha Tate Suffered Broken Orbital in Win Against McMann

Miesha Tate may have walked out of the octagon tonight with her hands raised in victory, but it didn’t come without a price. Sara McMann cracked her in the opening minute of the first round and dropped her with a straight punch that broke Tate’s orbital bone!

Jordan Mein did a fantastic job in the opening round at controlling the fight and dictating where the action went. Alves looked to be in trouble multiple times throughout the round as he got rocked with punches and elbows, but Mein could not stop the fight in the first.
