McMann: 'You can be beautiful, and a fighter'
BJPENN.COM News - January 30, 2015
“I think there are a lot of people that are more old school. They definitely see that women should act a certain way and that if they don’t act that way then something is amiss. But I think that it is coming along; women are allowed to be say what they want, and say how they feel. Women can own their sexuality without being, you know, slutty. You can be beautiful and a fighter. If you want to be a sexy woman, be a sexy woman. If that is what you want, own it.”

Weidman Camp Against Third Fight With Silva
BJPENN.COM News - January 30, 2015
“I don’t want to see the fight. Me personally as a trainer, I don’t want to see the fight. And the guy is getting older. At this point, you have nothing to prove. I don’t get it. I don’t want to see the guy get hurt. You’re putting a talented, one of the greatest of all time, up against a strong, huge, fierce fighter. It’s not like Weidman is deficient in any area. He’s proven it. I don’t get it.And it should be vice versa. If Nick Diaz wins, then he should do it. I don’t like when they say one guy is gonna get it and one guy’s not.”

This sword has a story
BJPENN.COM News - January 30, 2015
“I woke up one day and a woman from the hotel in Boston came up with a giant sword, literally. It had a McGregor crest. Anyway, I wakes up one morning, knock on the door and it’s a woman from the hotel with a big sword. Someone had dropped it with a letter. It was from a fellow McGregor saying, ‘You inspire me and this is for you.’ It was a claymore sword. It was basically the sword they fought with in the Scottish highlands back in the day when they were swinging that thing on a horse. I tell you what, it is a heavy sword. It’s the real deal.” FREEDOM!!!!! pic.twitter.com/s2rkSuVa1a

Nick Diaz Apologizes For Missing Open Workouts
BJPENN.COM News - January 29, 2015
“I had to go back home for some things, so I didn’t make it here as soon as I would have liked to. So I apologize to all the fans, especially the ones that were here to see the open workout. I didn’t really put too much thought into it. I was just more focused on the fight. I’ve pulled the same card a couple of times. It’s pretty inconsiderate of me. Again, I apologize to all the fans who were anticipating a show on Wednesday.”

Dana White Addresses Anderson Silva's Title Hopes
BJPENN.COM News - January 29, 2015
“I think that on Saturday night, we’ll see where he’s at. He’s an absolute professional, he’s done everything he needs to do to prepare for this fight. He’s back in shape, I think it’s just a mental thing, he has to get out there and see how he feels.” “I don’t think he needs 3-4 fights to get back to the title. But if he feels that way, he’s the No. 1 ranked guy in the world, he can fight Jacare Souza, he can fight Lyoto Machida, Vitor Belfort, Luke Rockhold, Yoel Romero … He starts getting very limited when he doesn’t want to fight Brazilians or other guys. Three of the top guys in the world are Brazilian. Anderson always has some crazy things to say before the fight.”

Dana on the unlikely rise of Anthony "Rumble" Johnson
BJPENN.COM News - January 29, 2015
“It’s crazy. If you look at Anthony Johnson, Anthony Johnson started at 170 pounds, right? And this isn’t like boxing where if you move up a weight class, it’s three pounds. You move up a weight class here, it’s 15 pounds. So he goes from 170 to 185. It’s not like he was a world-beater at 170 or a world-beater at 185. If you know anything about fighting, every time you move up, you lose a little bit of knockout power. It’s been the exact opposite for this guy. Him beating Alexander Gustafsson the way he did makes no sense whatsoever. This is a guy (Gustafsson) who went five hard rounds with Jon Jones. Many people believe he won that fight, and many people believe Jones won the fight. For [Johnson] to come out and knock out the guys in the 205-pound division that he is, it’s unbelievable and I am very excited for the fight with him and Jon Jones.” In UFC President Dana White’s recent interview with Jim Rome, he talked about Anthony Johnson, and the fighter’s rise from the ashes at 170 pounds.

Diaz Camp: UFC Manipulating Fans, Nick Accounted For All Week
BJPENN.COM News - January 29, 2015
“It’s Dana White being Dana White. It’s great promoting. It just sucks that Nick’s not in on the joke. They always tend to really grind in on Nick and Nate’s character and just the thought that they don’t care. It’s definitely all hype.” “Really, Nick and Nate are like the most genuine, honest people you’ll ever meet in your life. It’s just unfortunate that they don’t play the game so their honesty comes across exactly how they are and who they are.”
