With only six days left for the largest UFC event to hit Las Vegas, who better to ask for the opinions of the fighters who share the octagon with the brightest stars who will shine on December 12, in Las Vegas NV at MGM Grand Garden Arena.  MMAMania polled the pros for answers. Light Heavyweight, Glover Teixeira: “Aldo is my boy; he’s my friend. He’s my good friend; we talk all the time. I just think his skills and his speed [will be the difference]. McGregor is no joke; he’s not just a talker. It’s going to be a great fight. I’m with Jose Aldo 100 percent and I think he keeps his speed and doesn’t let McGregor get in his head.”

Bad blood between champion Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor was at it’s boiling point during the promotion for UFC 189.  Tempers flared, belts were ripped off of tables and many words were shared between camps. Five months after the wild verbal exchanges, it’s come down to the final week. “I’m really thinking of the fight right now, but after the fight’s over I see no problem in shaking his hand,” Aldo told MMAjunkie through an interpreter. “You know, we’re going to have to see how the fight plays out but I’m going to be there working as well as he’s going to be in there working, and everyone else is, so I don’t see a problem with that.” Aldo said.

Only time stands in between the clash of two champions, Conor McGregor is set to face featherweight champ Jose “Scarface” Aldo in the main event at UFC 194 in Las Vegas NV. With all the pre fight hype in full force, McGregor gives his view on former champ Ronda Rousey’s UFC 193 loss. “If I was going to take something away from Ronda is – maybe just push everything away,” he told mmajunkie “I can’t really see her situation. I don’t know her situation. From looking from where I was at, I could see that maybe she’d done a little too much on the media side. McGregor continued to say, That, coupled with a personal life that I know nothing about, could have hampered her training a little bit. Maybe could have hampered her mind. And then the particular style of opponent in Holly could have maybe combined into making her a little too emotionally invested.” McGregor said. McGregor pointing out her overwhelming schedule of the former champ and a variety of uncontrollable variables that played a role in the stunning defeat. With all the chaos that surrounds a high profile fight, McGregor maintains his point on the aspects you can controll.

Following Holly Holm’s flawless and dominant win over Ronda Rousey at UFC 193, it was revealed by UFC President Dana White that Rousey would in fact be getting an immediate rematch against Holm when she’s ready. With that being said, Cris Cyborg has booked her next fight at 145 pounds, seemingly abandoning her plan to eventually cut down to 135 pounds for a superfight against Rousey.
