Tempers flared, belts were ripped off of tables and many words were shared between camps. Five months after the wild verbal exchanges, it’s come down to the final week. “I’m really thinking of the fight right now, but after the fight’s over I see no problem in shaking his hand,” Aldo told MMAjunkie through an interpreter. “You know, we’re going to have to see how the fight plays out but I’m going to be there working as well as he’s going to be in there working, and everyone else is, so I don’t see a problem with that.” Aldo said.

Following Holly Holm’s flawless and dominant win over Ronda Rousey at UFC 193, it was revealed by UFC President Dana White that Rousey would in fact be getting an immediate rematch against Holm when she’s ready. With that being said, Cris Cyborg has booked her next fight at 145 pounds, seemingly abandoning her plan to eventually cut down to 135 pounds for a superfight against Rousey.
