OUCH! Reebok gives the middle finger to Ireland, again?

Just a little over a month has passed since those with ties to Ireland were enraged by Reebok’s t-shirt design. Reebok designers failed to print Northen Ireland on the map graphic of the branded shirt. Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh was absolutely pissed off and partnered his Straight Blast Gym in Ireland with Reebok just before the shirt was released. Kavanagh threatened to pull the partnership with the corporate company, who quickly took the shirt off their website.

Her assessment of the fight was a brief one much like her previous fights and this short video recap of an interview with Jimmy Fallon. Although Rousey is not known to make predictions like Conor “Mystic Mac” McGregor, her attempts to do so were not in her favor.

Cathal Pendred from Dublin, Ireland calls it quits after dropping two straight losses in the UFC organization. Pendred (17-4-1 MMA) announced his retirement at age 28 . In a sport that requires 100% passion and dedication, it only makes sense why the SBG Ireland fighter has decided to call it quits. His passion still remains with MMA and he plans to still be involved in the sport in some capacity. Comments made by Pendred on social media point to a lack of passion to compete. Pendred climbed up the ranks on the local fight circuit in Europe before going undefeated in the highly-respected Cage Warriors Fighting Championship promotion, going 5-0-1 prior to signing with the UFC. A statement given by Pedred on social media shed light on his retirement.

With the UFC finding great success with the female divisions particularly with Ronda Rousey, Dana White has recently told media that the next division to be added for the women will be the 125-pound flyweight class. No date has been set as to when the division will make the debut to MMA’s premiere promotion yet. With the record-breaking attendance event at UFC 193 featuring two women’s championship bouts, you can count that the UFC is looking to open up the division soon to capitalize on the market demand and build new female stars. Popular UFC bantamweight Miesha Tate has previously expressed an interest in dropping down to 125-pounds, which could help to build a draw to the division. Another prospect for the division is Invicta FC flyweight champion Barb Honchak, who is on a nine-fight winning streak that goes back over five years. However, Honchack has just fought once in the last year at Invicta FC 9, questioning the future of her career.
FTC ends second UFC investigation

The Federal Trade Commission has officially closed their second investigation of the UFC. This investigation examined whether “Zuffa, LLC, or any other unnamed persons, partnerships, or corporations have engaged or are engaging in conduct that violates Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act.”

With that being said, Holm has had plenty of opportunities to criticize Rousey for the one-sided fight, yet she hasn’t taken any of them.
