After being reinstated by the UFC recently, Jon Jones’ manager stated that a rematch against Daniel Cormier would be on Jones terms, not Cormier’s. Cormier then stated that he had no problem giving Jones and immediate title shot for Jones first bout back in the Octagon.

Late Thursday night it was revealed that Khabib Nurmagomedov had injured his rib and would no longer be able to fight Tony Ferguson at the TUF 22 finale on December 11th. The next morning Nurmagomedov took to Instagram to let his followers know that he may never return to the Octagon.

Yesterday on the UFC 193 media day conference call things got a bit heated between UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and title challenger Valerie Letourneau. Jedrzejczyk praised Letourneau on her performances against Maryna Moroz, but stated that it was Letourneau’s comments after the bout that she didn’t like. Despite the overwhelming odds, Letourneau said Jedrzejczyk may be surprised on November 14th when the two square off.
Nurmagomedov contemplating retirement after most recent injury

Late Thursday night it was revealed that Khabib Nurmagomedov had broken a rib and would no longer be able to fight Tony Ferguson at the TUF 22 finale on December 11th. The injury is the third in a row for Nurmagomedov, who hasn’t fought since April of 2014 when he defeated Rafael Dos Anjos.

Miesha Tate was understandably upset when the UFC passed her over for a title shot and instead gave the opportunity to Holly Holm. Tate even went as far as to say that if the UFC were to look at her as a gatekeeper without the possibility of fighting for the title, she would have to consider her future in the sport.

News broke late Thursday evening that Khabib ‘The Eagle’ Nurmagomedov has injured his rib in training and is unable to fight Tony Ferguson at the TUF 22 finale on December 11th. Sources confirmed the news with MMAFighting, which also revealed that the UFC is looking to have Edson Barboza step in on short notice to fight Ferguson.

Earlier this week it was revealed that Joanne Calderwood had been forced out of her ‘UFC FN 80’ headlining bout against Paige VanZant on December 10th. As a result, TUF 20 runner-up Rose Namajunas stepped in on short notice to fight VanZant. Calderwood took to Facebook to update fans on her condition.

Yesterday during the NSAC’s meeting Wanderlei Silva was supposed to have his re-hearing with the commission. The re-hearing was postponed however after Silva’s attorney complained that he wasn’t provided with a copy of a document according to Bleacher Report’s Jeremy Botter.

McGregor fought Mendes with serious ACL injury

After defeating Chad Mendes for the interim UFC featherweight championship at UFC 189, it was revealed by McGregor and his coach that he had a knee injury that prevented him from kicking for a portion of his training camp. While no further details were given, McGregor has now revealed that he tore almost all of his ACL.

The rematch between the current UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and former champion Jon Jones has not officially been announced. However, speculation in the media as well as Cormier wanting the welcome back fight is leading all to believe that it will be the next UFC light heavyweight title fight. Best Fight Odds released the future event betting odds with Jones coming in as the favorite at -250 and Cormier as the underdog at +210.
