“I think somebody probably told him he should take it back. My side would have got to him; we would have sued him. We would have just said, “Prove it. That’s a pretty good accusation. Where’s your evidence?” Yeah (I still think he’s a good guy). He took it back. I haven’t accepted his apology, but I acknowledge he did give an apology. I don’t know why he would say that. My kickboxing coach has been working on some pretty nasty tricks that we believe will fall right into Chael’s tendencies, landing on his chin of course knocking him out. My jiu-jitsu coach is actually having me work on some things that are pretty extensive. I am pretty confident that this fight is going to be stopped and Mike Goldberg is going to be saying ‘It’s all over.’” “Definitely getting a knockout, it’s something I haven’t done in the UFC yet. “That’s what I use for my takedown, the shoot, that people see, it’s zero wrestling. It has nothing to do with my wrestling. My wrestling is once I get that leg, I’ll finish the takedown. But how I get in and out is because of karate. People are like, ‘no way, Karate, no.’ And I’m like, ‘yes.’ Karate allows me to cut the distance and take the people down. I have a very good single, a very good double and very good penetration. It’s because of my leg, the way I do it, and the timing is because of my karate. I wrestle, too, but my karate is primary. Before I started wrestling, I was a karate guy pure.” UFC Welterweight champion GSP, told Joe Rogan during Rogan’s podcast that he doesn’t give credit to his wrestling training for his takedowns inside the cage.
