Rockhold vows to finish "slow, slow, slow" UFC Champ Weidman

Russell Ess - October 26, 2015

UFC Middleweight Championship contender Luke Rockhold is extremely confident in his upcoming fight with Chris Weidman at UFC 194., and he has every right to be. He is coming off a dominant victory over former champion Lyoto Machida and is currently riding a four fight win streak. That’s not to say Weidman shouldn’t be confident either; The undefeated champion’s record is unmatched and he is the only man to beat Anderson Silva TWICE. The champion has shown improvement every time he steps into the octagon, but Rockhold still isn’t impressed with what he sees.

'I took 6 years off from sparring'

BJPENN.COM News - October 26, 2015

Robbie Lawler is the perfect example of “never say never”. Fans were ecstatic to see “Ruthless” make his return at “UFC 157” in 2013 where due to the fact that he always gave them a show. Even though his run in Strikeforce was less-than-stellar, fans knew they would always get an exciting scrap when Lawler was in the octagon. When it came to his ability to capture a championship at the time, though, fans and media members alike second guessed the chances of that happening. It had nothing to do with the fact that Lawler wasn’t capable of it; It was impossible for fans to imagine the UFC Welterweight Championship slung over the shoulder of anybody but Georges St. Pierre at the time. He was as dominant as any fighter had been and the chances of a challenger knocking him off his throne seemed unlikely.

Lo and behond, McGregor not only made it back to his feet but he knocked Mendes out moments later to become the interim featherweight champion.

Cat Zingano analyzes her UFC 184 loss to Ronda Rousey

BJPENN.COM News - October 25, 2015

Despite her extended absence from the octagon, Cat Zingano is still viewed as one of the top female bantamweights in the company and some still believe she deserves another shot at gold. “Alpha” possesses an extremely impressive record of 9-1 and it’s hard to argue against her getting a shot at gold… except for the fact that she is coming fresh off a loss to the reigning and defending champion. “It’s something that’s on my mind all the time,” Zingano said of her loss to Rousey to UFC.COM. “I think about how I want to get out there and fix this huge blemish on my career. I’ve accomplished a ton in this sport, I’ve accomplished a ton in my life in a lot of sports. A big part of my motivation is that I want to get back because I know I have everything it takes to be a champion. I know I have everything it takes to beat Ronda and be the best in the world. It’s just going out there and doing it.”
