Clint Hester is back this week and he’s got his first round fight coming up inside the house, which means there is plenty to talk about. We will of course discuss last weeks action and Team Jones keeping control of the picks as Clint’s teammate won his fight by devastating knockout. A fight between UFC flyweights John Lineker and Azamat Gashinov is the latest addition to the UFC on Fox 8 fight card at Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil on May 18th. Lineker is 20-6 in his MMA career, and 1-1 in the UFC, while Gashinov sports 7-2 MMA record with only one fight in the UFC; a first round submission loss to Ivan Menjivar at 135 pounds. The main card is headlined by Vitor Belfort vs Strikeforce Champion Luke Rockhold at middleweight, and also features a lightweight clash between Evan Dunham and Rafael dos Anjos. The Ultimate Fighter returned to FX on Tuesday night with the sixth episode of the season – “Path to Greatness”. In the evening’s preliminary matchup, Josh Samman capitalized on Tor Troeng’s relaxed fighting style, winning via knockout in the first round. Samman, a Floridian with a 9-2 mixed martial arts record, landed a body kick and followed through with a crisp 1-2 combo to finish the fight at 4:40 of the first round and earn the first-round TKO over the 15-4 Swede. With the win, Team Jones climbs back to within one as Team Sonnen leads the preliminary fights 3-2.

The UFC released their official rankings a few weeks ago, and many people disagreed with them. Here at BJPENN.com we decided to update our own rankings. When looking at the Heavyweight division rankings, we match up with UFC.com almost identically. Cain Velasquez tops the ladder, with Junior Dos Santos coming in at #2. Fabricio Werdum comes in at #3 after putting together 5 impressive victories in his last 6 fights. Next we have Olympic Wrestler and former Strikeforce champion Daniel Cormier coming in at #4. And coming in at #5 is Antonio Bigfoot Silva, who is coming off a huge victory over Alistair Overeem a few weeks ago, and earned a rematch with now-champion Cain Velasquez.

In order to build and develop their women’s division, the UFC has signed former Strikeforce fighters Sarah Kaufman, Julie Kedzie, Amanda Nunes, and Germaine de Randamie. Fox Sports reporter A.J.
