Chael Sonnen Breaks Down Bisping vs. Belfort, Picks The Count To Win | UFC NEWS
BJPENN.COM News - January 15, 2013
“This is a fight well matched. Bisping is the favorite. He has more ways to win, he is a much better kickboxer and has more weapons to win. He also can win in any round or win by points. Vitor has only five minutes during which he is the most dangerous guy, but after that, it’s not the same animal. I tease and make jokes about Vitor all the time because someone needs to show what a fraud and scam this guy is, but everyone also knows he is one of the most dangerous fighters in the world. In the end, I would beat Vitor Belfort up and Bisping was one of the most difficult fights of my life. So, consequently, Bisping defeats Belfort.” In a recent interview with Tatame.com, seasoned UFC veteran, Chael P. Sonnen goes on a rant about this weekend’s UFC on FX 7 main event.
Bisping Calls Belfort The Perfect Tune-Up Fight For Anderson Silva | UFC NEWS
BJPENN.COM News - January 15, 2013
“The good thing is Vitor Belfort is the perfect warm-up for Anderson Silva. He’s a southpaw, Anderson’s a southpaw, and they’re both incredible strikers. My skills against a southpaw have definitely improved a lot in this training camp. At the start of the camp I was struggling because things do change due to the stance. But now I’m over those problems. Fingers crossed I get the business done, and then I’ve had the perfect tune-up for Anderson Silva.” UFC middleweight fighter, Michael Bisping, has basically downgraded Vitor Belforts Elite status to nothing more than a tune-up for the promised title shot a victory will get him this Saturday.
JDS Lists Excuses For Defeat Ranging From Kidney Health To Personal Problems | UFC NEWS
BJPENN.COM News - January 14, 2013
Really was my head. I had some personal things going on, a bit of my attention was lacking because of it. And another thing. Soon after the fight I went to the hospital and had a scan, which showed my creatine was too high. The normal level is up to 300, mine was in 1400. I also had trouble in the urine and kidneys. JC: Did doctors say why this health problem occured? JDS: The explanation of the doctors is that I pushed over the line, I over trained, and problems could have happened even before the fight… I was so good that I ended up crossing the line. That was the explanation of doctors. Mine is that I was not good with my head, was having personal problems and did not go well mentally in the fight.
Rousey: Carmouche 'one clever chick'
BJPENN.COM News - January 14, 2013
The first ever female UFC champion, Ronda Rousey, talks about her upcoming title defense against Liz Carmouche. On not training with the Diaz brothers for her UFC debut: We’re kind of doing our own thing and renting out a gym and a house up in Big Bear and doing that, we’re bringing people in. You know, they got own huge fight coming up. I think one of the reasons why so many MMA fighters get injured is that a lot of people do their fight camps together. Whereas, like boxers, they take their fight camp and center it all around one person. So I’m kind of spoiled like that. I like my own, it’s all about me, I want my fight camp to be about me.” Ronda joked.

At 40-Years Old Cung Le Still Has Drive To Fight | UFC NEWS
BJPENN.COM News - January 11, 2013
“I feel like I’ve still got some fights left in me, so I’m not going to retire right away. I felt like a performance like that – and I know some people were saying I was starting slow, it’s like hello it’s a five-round fight, I’m going to pace myself, but at the same time I know when to explode and I know when to pace myself… Right after I came back from the media tour in China to promote the fight, like a bone chip must have fell into the crease in my arm because it was locking up. So I went to the doctor and they did a 3-D x-ray and they saw a bunch of bone spurs. He went in there and cleaned up as much as he could so I was able to still fight. That was six weeks before my fight against Rich (Franklin). Then after the fight just training and during the fight when I was throwing punches, I felt something weird in my arm. I threw with everything I had and when I followed through I felt something weird in my elbow and then the same thing happened where a bone chip must have slipped down there and my arm started locking up. I’m going to make sure I heal right this time because I think getting into Macao after hurting my foot really bad, and I did have some elbow problems leading up to that fight. I’m just glad I got two big wins in the UFC, and as soon as I heal up I think I’m going to be gearing up again… It takes a little bit longer to heal. I’m 40 years old,” Le joked. “But I want to make a proper rehab and we’ll take it from there.” Former Strikeforce middleweight champion and current UFC roster holder, Cung Le, recently sat down with MMAWeekly.com to discuss his fighting past and fighting future.
