Fabio Maldonado was originally set to face Tom Lawlor at UFC Fight Night 77 on November 7th, however an injury forced Lawlor out of the bout. TUF 19 winner Corey Anderson stepped up on short notice to replace Lawlor, something Maldonado is very grateful for.

Rafael Natal is currently riding a 3-fight win streak in the Octagon which has seen him pick up wins over Chris Camozzi, Tom Watson, and Uriah Hall. Following his last bout, Natal underwent surgery to repair a detached retina. Natal spoke to MMA Noise to discuss the surgery, as well as his return to training.

‘Big’ Ben Rothwell has had quite a bit of bad luck when it comes to getting a fight booked inside the Octagon. After his opponent for this Saturday’s ‘UFC Fight Night: Dublin,’ Stipe Miocic, withdrew from the bout Rothwell attempted to get Andrei Arlovski to fill in on short notice. Arlovski was willing to fill in, however his management talked him out of it, and into a fight with Miocic at UFC 195 in January.

Tickets for January 2nd’s UFC 195: Lawler vs. Condit go on sale to the general public this Friday. As a result the UFC has been busy booking fights for the highly anticipated card. Today the UFC announced that Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson vs. Neil Magny and Lorenz Larkin vs. Albert Tumenov had been added to the card.

Reports of Anthony “Rumble” Johnson trying to get a fight with Ryan Bader have been buzzing over the media lately, but Bader was not even aware of it until Wednesday. Johnson said in a recent Facebook post, “How can a true athlete feel that he/she is the next best in line for a title shot when they haven’t fought anybody in the top 3 of rankings?”
