BJPENN.COM News - November 23, 2012
“I’m looking at this guy. He’s not in shape at all. He has neglected his body. There’s no reason for me to judge him in the outside world. And people got upset at me for saying that because it was being blunt, or rude. Someone actually said that I was a ‘bully’ for doing that, so I felt that it should be addressed. …You have to be knowledgeable about martial arts, and you have to be able to physically separate people. You have to be able to move, and move very quickly. It’s a matter of the safety for all our fighters, and it’s very important.

Rashad Evans: I Think GSP Beats Anderson Silva | UFC NEWS
BJPENN.COM News - November 21, 2012
“Oh yeah, I definitely think he has a shot against Anderson. One thing about Anderson is this right here: Anderson’s a great fighter, but one thing with Anderson is that he has such a problem with defending the takedown. And then on the ground even sometimes he allows people to advance position way too much.” “You see Chael Sonnen, the second time he fought him. He took him down and before the round’s over he had him in mount. You get a guy like Georges St-Pierre in a position like that, Anderson may not make it to another round.”
Hendricks: GSP Can't Take Me Down | UFC NEWS
BJPENN.COM News - November 21, 2012
“Well I’m not as good as Anderson, but I believe I have what it takes to beat GSP. I’m a wrestler, I’ve been wrestling since I was five. And, they say that’s what GSP is the strongest at and also I have knockout power. I can lay anybody out at any given moment. The only thing is that sometimes I like to fight, just because I like to fight. You know what I mean? I don’t like to end it fast. And sometimes I go in there and I know I have to make a statement and I know I have to do something to put myself above everybody else and that’s sort of what happened with Kampmann. No. No, I don’t [think GSP can take me down]. I’ve wrestled all my life and if I really wanted to I could go into a fight and take him down. I just haven’t had the thrill of wanting to take somebody down. For some reason, just hitting someone in the face is a lot more exciting to me, and also to the crowd.” _ UFC welterweight contender, Johny Hendricks via MMAFightCorner.com
Benson Henderson Details Training In The Cage For Diaz Trash Talk | UFC NEWS
BJPENN.COM News - November 21, 2012
“We’re definitely trying to prepare for his physical tools, his long reach, his boxing style that he has. But, the biggest thing we’ve had trouble with, to be honest, is we’ve been having my teammates talking trash inside the Octagon, and have me stay calm and not be worked up. I was having a hard time with that. When someone talks trash to me, I wanna talk trash back. When they get emotional, I get emotional back to them. So, I’ve been working on staying calm, collected and still do my technique and not fall into his game. I gotta do a little more work on that, though. I just got done sparring, and my training partners, Efrain Escudero and Joe Riggs, were told by my coaches to talk crap and to say not very nice things to me. I don’t like it. I don’t like it when people say not very nice things to me. But, yeah, they’re told to talk crap to me, and I’m suppose to not get lured into that game and do something I’m not supposed to do.I’m supposed to stay calm and collected and implement my game plan, still. I have been having a hard time with that, but hopefully, we get that taken care of, and come fight night, I won’t allow any of that trash talking to get into my head and affect my game.”
Josh Koscheck Gunning For The 209 And Nick Diaz In 2013 Return | UFC NEWS
BJPENN.COM News - November 21, 2012
“That is a fight I’ll take all day long,” said Koscheck of the possibility of a clash with Diaz, who is still on a suspension handed down by the Nevada State Athletic Commission following his UFC 143 bout with Carlos Condit in February. “I feel like it’s a great matchup for me and I believe the fans are already on board to see that fight. It is a fight that makes sense and I think maybe Nick Diaz and I should settle it up to see who takes the spot behind the number one contender (Johny Hendricks). I feel it would be a great fight for the fans, with a great build-up, and Nick brings a lot to the table. He’s a good fighter. He’s tough. He has that tenacity where it’s ‘It’s me against the world and %$#$ you!’ I have the same attitude. I enjoy fighting people who have the same attitude because they are going to come in, never give up, and they are going to stand in front of you and fight. Nick Diaz will absolutely do that.” In a potential matchup between the season one TUF alum and the Stockton “bad boy”, the UFC would have guaranteed fireworks. Both men carry brash personas which have set them apart from the status quo of fan-friendly competitors under the organization’s banner. And while Diaz fights have been typically painted in a “white hat” vs. “black hat” fashion, Koscheck promises it will be nothing of the sort if the two are allowed to throw down.

Rashad Evans: Sonnen Is Gonna Bring It To Jon Jones, Match Up Good For MMA | UFC NEWS
BJPENN.COM News - November 21, 2012
“I mean you know what, I think it’s good for the sport. There needs to be some excitement, something to happen. I think Chael has what it takes to not only bring it as far as talking, but he can actually bring it when the fight comes, too. It’s going to be interesting and exciting to see what happens. You have Jon Jones, one of the greatest champions in the making in the history of the UFC and he gets a chance to beat up somebody he don’t like. We all gotta fight and be on the contracts and stuff like that, but, it makes it that much better when you don’t like somebody and then you get to beat them up. So, it should be interesting to see what happens. This show, TUF, is probably going to be really crazy.” – Former UFC light-heavyweight champion, Rashad Evans via MMAFighting.com’s “The MMA Hour”.
Coash Says Velasquez Made A Mistake In Taking JDS Rematch | UFC NEWS
BJPENN.COM News - November 21, 2012
“We are quiet, with a good team. It will be a great fight. Cain is a great athlete, no doubt, but he made a mistake by asking for this rematch so soon. Even though he is coming off a victory (against Silva), he was knocked out (by dos Santos). He’ll have to risk closing the distance against ‘Cigano,’ who is even better trained than that first fight. I think he made a huge mistake.” – JDS trainer, Luiz Dorea via Sherdog.com
