Since his first successful title defense over Frank Mir at UFC 146, possible opponents for Junior dos Santos have ranged from Roy Nelson, a rematch with Cain Velasquez, and even a fight with the current light-heavyweight champ, Jon Jones. Now, Dana White has stated numerous times that he wants Jones to stay at light-heavyweight, but that won’t stop fighters and fans alike from picturing what that fight would look like.

The trailer for “UFC 148: Silva vs. Sonnen II” was released just hours ago, and it gives the rematch even more of a “big fight feel” than it already had.

By Evan Stoumbelis Matt “The Immortal” Brown is stepping in for fellow TUF competitorMatt Riddle to face Luis Ramos at UFC on FX 4 on June 22nd. Brown, who is coming off a decision victory to Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson at UFC 145, announced the bout over Facebook earlier today. In my opinion, Brown isn’t going to make a title run, I just can’t see him squaring off against Condit for the title. That being said, he is easily one of my favorite fighters, and his very exciting style of fighting that he has deemed “technical brawling” keeps fans on the edge of their seats. This fight on June 22nd is sure to be no different.

UFC 146 took place on May 26th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This was the first entire heavyweight main card and nearly every fight delivered excitement and a finish with nine finishes total on the incredible twelve fight card. Junior dos Santos successfully defended his belt in the main event. These numbers, though official, do not fully represent the totals that each fighter received as event bonuses and “locker room” bonuses are not listed here. In total, the payout was just above $1.2 million.

UFC 146 brought us one of the fastest and most exciting cards of the year with nine finishes, six of which came by way of TKO/KO and three by submission. The card was stacked head to toe due to the all heavyweight main card, which forced fantastic fights such as Hardy vs. Ludwig or Varner vs. Barbosa farther down the list and onto the preliminary card. Now that this historic event has concluded, where do the winners and losers go? Whats next for the men that put went out and left their hearts in the Octagon?

With fight night only four days away, the official betting lines for UFC 146 have been released. Odds for the event have been out for a good while now, but all the injuries and changes to the event caused a lot of bet cancelations and forced the bookies to work overtime.

A welterweight fighter between James Head (8-2) and Claude Patrick (14-2) has been booked to UFC 149 on July 21, at Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome in Alberta Canada. Head looks to build momentum as he comes off an exciting fight with Papy Abedi in Stockholm, Sweden back in April. Head won that fight with a submission in the first round. This will be Head’s third fight in the UFC in arguably one of the most convoluted divisions in the UFC.

The lowest ratings for the entire season of the The Ultimate Fighter: Live were recorded last Friday on its 11th episode of the season. It drew in 821,000 viewers, which is over 100,000 less than the week before, marking the least watched episode in season history. After Dana White’s recent video on ratings, the numbers may not tell the whole story. These are still high numbers for a cable channel on a Friday night and with most of the season completed, these numbers don’t have room to go down anymore and should actually rise with the final live broadcast on FX and with the finale on June 8th.

The widely popular UFC Countdown show returns this Wednesday on Fuel TV. The half hour special will showcase the top fights of this weekends UFC 146 card to build anticipation for the all heavyweight main card. The main event is the Heavyweight title match between Junior Dos Santos and Frank Mir while the co-main event features former Heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez, taking on promotional newcomer, Antonio Silva.
