It looks as if Nick Diaz is a big fan of Leonardo DiCaprio, who recently won the Golden Globe Award for best actor in his work done in The Revenant. Diaz reposted an older photo with DiCaprio at a high rollers casino card table with the caption reading, “Can’t wait to see this new movie #leonardodicaprio” The Revenant, DiCaprio’s latest film was released on Friday and came in at number 2 in the box office behind the new Star Wars film.

The amount of Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone’s uniform fine from Reebok has not been revealed, but “Cowboy” did mention that it was a lot. The fine Cerrone received was for wearing a patch on his fight shorts at UFC on FOX 17, in honor of his terminally ill grandmother and holds it so close to his heart that he says he will continue to wear it despite threats of being banned from fighting in the Octagon if he does it again. Cerrone recently spoke on the MMA Hour about the fine, and tossed a hot offer to Reebok in development of what the cause of the fine represents (transcribed by MMA Mania):

As a beloved MMA fan of combat sports,  we tend to fill our memory banks with countless replays of bloody battles and 1st round KO’s.   Sometimes it’s refreshing to hear the ‘not so pressing’ questions about a fighter’s opponent or having to respond to rumors.   Sometimes….we just want to know the person.

At UFC 195 earlier this month, Stipe Miocic fought Andrei Arlovski in a fight that many believed was a heavyweight #1 contender fight. Miocic went out and KO’d Arlovski in under a minute, and then proceeded to scream at UFC President Dana White to give him a title shot. In addition, Miocic continued to make his case for a title shot in his post-fight Octagon interview.

It was revealed recently that CM Punk would be in the EA Sports UFC 2 video game, despite not having fought for the promotion or competing in an MMA fight. In addition, it was revealed that Punk’s rating in the game is 85/100. Of course, critics were outraged that Punk received a rating similar to those given to Mark Hunt and Ross Pearson in the original EA Sports UFC game.

We received word earlier this month that three fighters had been fined by the UFC for violating their ‘athlete outfitting policy’. While no names were given by the UFC, Donald Cerrone revealed via Twitter that he had in fact been fined for continuing his tradition of sewing a patch on his fight shorts.

Back in the co-main event of UFC 194, Luke Rockhold put on a spectacular performance against Chris Weidman en route to a 4th round TKO win to claim the UFC middleweight championship. While the win was certainly a dominant one for Rockhold, former champion Chris Weidman knows he can do better than he showed, and is looking to prove it sooner rather than later.

Since EA Sports UFC 2 was confirmed to be releasing in March, there has been much speculation as to whether or not CM Punk would be in the game. Punk is in fact signed with the UFC, however given that he has yet to have a fight under the UFC banner, or any other banner for that matter, fans were speculating as to whether or not he deserved to be in the game.
