Myles Jury feeling unbeatable at featherweight

Myles ‘Fury’ Jury went on quite a tear of the lightweight division, until Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone scored a dominant unanimous decision win over ‘Fury’ at UFC 182 in January. Since then, Jury has announced that he is dropping down to featherweight, where he will meet Charles Oliveira in his featherweight debut in December at UFC on FOX 17.

Charles Rosa vs. Jimy Hettes Set For 'UFC Fight Night: Boston'

UFC Fight Night: Boston, which takes place January 17th, has picked up a featherweight tilt between Charles Rosa and Jimy Hettes. Rosa, who broke the news of the bout on Facebook, is coming off a split decision loss to Yair Rodriguez back in June at UFC 188. The loss dropped his promotional record to 1-2. He will be looking to get back in the win column and avoid potentially being cut from the UFC.

Poirier: "I'm never going to go down to 145 again"

After his UFC 178 loss to Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier went back up to lightweight for his next fight, which he won in impressive fashion, knocking out Carlos Diego Ferreira in the first round. Poirier then went on to TKO Yancy Medeiros at catchweight after Medeiros missed weight. With his newfound success at a higher weight class, Poirier is vowing to never make the cut back down to 145 again.

He sent us this pic with the caption, “Some of the best training of my life out in Hilo, Hawaii”. On the far left we have Cholitzu founder and Master Tony Desouza, who was BJ’s first mma training partner, they both trained at the American Kickboxing Academy and they also both debuted in UFC 31 on May 4, 2001. Also on that card were six other former UFC Champions Randy Couture, Chuck Lidell, Pat Miletich, Carlos Newton, Kevin Randleman, and Matt Serra.
