Even though he’s ranked above Kelvin Gastelum, Matt Brown will be going into their scheduled fight as the underdog. Brown and Gastelum will serve as the main event for UFC Fight Night 78, set for Nov. 21, 2015 at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is required to complete 72 speaking arrangements in addition to his 18 months of probation. That means he needs to speak at schools or gyms and work with local organizations like the Boys and Girls Club. According to his PR rep, via MMAJunkie, Jones has already completed several of those appearances and according to Denise White, CEO of EAG Sports Management, which works with Jones, he’s been doing appearances like that for awhile, even before he was court ordered to do so.

It was announced yesterday that UFC heavyweight Stipe Miocic had suffered an injury and had to pull out of his scheduled fight with Ben Rothwell, which was set for Oct. 24 in Dublin, Ireland. It was reported that the UFC was looking for a last minute replacement to take on Rothwell, but now it looks like that is no longer the case.

We now know that UFC heavyweight Ben Rothwell has been officially pulled from UFC Fight Night Dublin. On Tuesday it was announced that his opponent Stipe Miocic had to pull out because of injury and that the UFC would be looking for a late replacement to take on Rothwell. Unfortunately the UFC were unable to find suitable replacement. Although, that’s not because people weren’t offering.

UFC’s newest rising star Sage Northcutt already has fighters calling him out and slamming him. Fellow UFC lightweight Kevin Lee recently went off on Northcutt, calling him a ‘rich privileged white boy’ who’s getting favoritism from the UFC and said love to fight him so he can give him the shortest UFC career ever.

In an effort to support the #FreeNickDiaz movement, popular MMA character Tommy Toe Hold put out this episode of TTTHS showing former UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre stand up for Diaz and slam the Nevada State Athletic Commission. He also urges everyone to sign the White House Petition, which has already reached its goal!

This is one of those random WTF stories in MMA. So earlier this week UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis posted a video on his Facebook, showing a fan at an Astros game snorting something in the middle of the game. The video spread across the internet and blew up. The next day, Lewis came out and said he never posted the video and wan’t even at the game, claiming that he was hacked.  Well now we have an apparent response from the fan herself.

Women’s MMA has exploded in the last few years and and is now some fan’s favorite fights to watch. However, not everyone is so thrilled about females throwing down. Big names like Fedor Emelianenko have publicly come stated that they don’t like seeing women fight and aren’t supporters of it. And now we can add UFC founder Rorion Gracie to that list.

Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre hasn’t fought since November of 2013, when he beat Johny Hendricks at UFC 167 to defend his belt once again. After that, the 170 pound king decided it was time for him to step away from the sport and take a break, without any plan in place as far as when or if he would ever return.

Faber was the guy who brought Dillashaw into the sport and is the leader of TAM, so of course he was asked all about the departure and had to talk about it over and over again.

‘Super’ Sage Northcutt, talk about an explosion. The 19 year old UFC fighter has blown up and is already an instant fan favorite after only one fight in the promotion. A lot of people are comparing his instant stardom to that of UFC strawweight Paige VanZant. Yes, probably because they look like male and female versions of each other, but also because of just how fast they blew up.
