UFC Fighters React To Hendricks vs. Woodley Being Pulled From UFC 192

UFC president Dana White decided to ruin everybody’s Friday morning by announcing that the scheduled UFC 192 co-main event, between welterweights Johny Hendricks and Tyron Woodley, had abruptly been pulled from the card. White only said, in a tweet, that it was due to an issue with Hendricks’ weight cut. Everyone jumped online and starting shaming Hendricks for what they thought was just him failing to make the weight, but as it turns out, the fighter suffered an intestinal blockage and a kidney stone, forcing him to be rushed to the emergency room, according to his manager.

On Friday morning UFC president Dana White shocked a lot of people when he announced, via twitter, that the welterweight fight between Johny Hendricks and Tyron Woodley, scheduled for Saturday’s UFC 192, has been canceled. White provide no information other than it was due to a weight cut issue suffered by Hendricks. That was a little confusing considering how well he’s looked leading into this fight, and how much he’s talked about finally getting his weight cut under control. However, according to new details from his manager, Ted Ehrhardt, via MMAFighting, we now know that it was a medical issue with him suffering a blockage in his intestine during his weight cut, as well as a kidney stone.

Good news, all the drug tests from UFC 191 came back negative, as in, clean. UFC 191 featured a flyweight title fight in the main event, between champ Demetrious Johnson and challenger John Dodson. It was a rematch of a very close first fight, but this time around it was all Johnson. The champ dominated and shut Dodson down for all five rounds, en route to a unanimous decision.

James Elliot became the Senior Director of Content for the UFC two years ago and has now been promoted to Vice President and General Manager of its operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa. The position was pervasively held by Dave Allen, before he departed from the company.

Captain Marvel is a comic book character from Marvel that will be getting her own movie in 2016. Shortly after that session Rousey even posted some fan created art showing her as the superhero. Well it looks like someone finally asked Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige what he thought of the undefeated UFC champion playing the role.
