On Dec. 12 the UFC will cap off a wild weekend with the last of three nights of fights in Las Vegas. That Saturday will be UFC 194 and we’ll hopefully get to see the matchup we’ve all been waiting for when UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo takes on interim champ Conor McGregor. However, that is simply the final fight on a what is set up to be one of the most stacked cards in UFC history. The UFC middleweight title will be on the line in the co-main with Chris Weidman taking on Luke Rockhold. The whole card will be full of exciting fights, so let’s hope the injury bug stays away so we can get what we’re excepting.

We shared this unfortunate story with you guys a while ago, but the road to recovery for former UFC fighter and TUF alum Troy Mandoloniz is still ongoing and any bit of support you can provide will go a long way. Mandaloniz was injured back in June after falling form a ladder while working to provide for his family. There was a GoFundMe set up to help him and his family reunite and to help with the growing medical bills.

They’re the ones that have been randomly showing up to fighters houses at 6 in the morning to administer drug test. They’re also the ones that were in a bit of controversy recently, when a report came out detailing their questionable handling of Floyd Mayweather using an illegal IV before his fight with Manny Pacquiao.

You might have already heard the big news today, that Jon Jones avoided jail time and was given 18 months of probation after he entered a plea agreement stemming from his felony change for fleeing the scene. After the hearing the UFC and Jones released statements right away. Now, we have word from current UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier, who spoked with MMAFighting following the news.

On Tuesday we found out that former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will not be serving any jail time stemming from his hit-and-run incident back in April. He appeared in court and plead guilty to a felony charge of fleeing the scene, as part of a plea deal agreement. The judge heard from Jones’ lawyer and then from Jones himself, who apologized to the court, the pregnant women he hit in the crash an to all those who he’s embarrassed.

So aside from a few short clips of him training we haven’t seen or heard from Jones basically at all. On Monday, former UFC middleweight champion Rich ‘Ace’ Franklin decided to officially announce his retirement. Franklin is a legend in the sport, known as the guy who went from being a high school match teacher to a UFC champion. The guy who earned his nickname, ‘Ace’, for his uncanny resemblance of actor Jim Carrey, went undefeated for the first 14 fights of his career. After his first loss, to Lyoto Machida in 2003, he went on an 8 fight win streak which included winning the UFC title and defending it twice.

UFC 192 goes down this Saturday and will feature the light heavyweight title fight between champ Daniel Cormier and challenger Alexander Gustafsson. It will be Cormier’s first title defense and Gustafsson’s second title shot. Also on the main card will be Tyron Woodley vs. Johny Hendricks, a fight that will mostly likely serve as a number one contender’s match.

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will defend his title for the first time at this Saturday’s UFC 192, when he takes on Alexander Gustafsson. Ahead of that scrap, Cormier’s coach, Javier Mendez, recently talked on The MMA Hour and said that he thinks the champ isn’t exactly getting the credit he deserves as the 205 champ. Mendez admits that Jon Jones is a guy Cormier still needs to beat, but that by defeating Gustafsson he’ll show that he deserves to be champ and deserves to be considered the best, right now.
