Palhares to undergo surgery after submitting Fitch at WSOF 16

WSOF welterweight champion Rousimar Palhares quickly defeated Jon Fitch this past weekend after WSOF 16 in just 90 seconds with a slick kneebar.

Palters revealed after the bout that he would need to undergo major surgery on his left knee, as well as possibly surgery for his shoulder.

“I had some injuries. In fact, I will undergo a left knee surgery, and I might need a shoulder surgery as well,” he said. “Those are complicated surgeries, but I will time to recover and come back stronger.”
