Patrick Cote vs. Kyle Noke set for ‘TUF Nations: Finale’ in Quebec City

By Chris Taylor - January 29, 2014

“TUF Nations: Canada vs. Australia” coaches Patrick Cote (19-8 MMA, 6-8 UFC) and Kyle Noke (20-6-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC) will slug it out at the ‘TUF Nations: Finale’ in Quebec City on April 16, 2014.

UFC executive Tom Wright announced the events headliner during today’s UFC press conference in Quebec City.

The former middleweight title challenger, Cote, has put together back-to-back UFC wins, his latest being a decision victory over Bobby Voelker, in a bout that served as his welterweight debut at UFC 158 in Montreal. Prior to that, “The Predator” earned a victory by way of disqualification, when Alessio Sakara was DQ’d for throwing punches to the back of Canadian’s head at UFC 154.

Meanwhile, Australian Kyle Noke most recently got back in the win column at UFC 152 in Toronto, where he scored a first-round TKO victory over Charlie Brenneman. Prior to his victory in ‘TO’, Noke suffered back-to-back setbacks against Ed Herman and Andrew Craig while fighting in the UFC’s middleweight ranks.

Cote will have home-field advantage when he faces off with Noke on April 16 live from the Colisée Pepsi in Quebec City, Canada. The event will air live on FOX Sports 1.

In addition to the coaches fight, a new TUF champion will be crowned in both the welterweight and middleweight divisions. Plus, Sam Stout will take on K.J. Noons in a lightweight bout that was also announced at this mornings press conference.
