PHOTO | Valerie Letourneau posts update on swollen eyes

Valerie Letourneau is healing up nicely after her five-round title fight war with champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Letourneau ended up losing a unanimous decision and showed tremendous heart, sporting wounds from the fight that UFC president said was “the craziest thing” he’s ever seen.

Letourneau posted a photo to Instagram with a picture of her healing injuries with the caption:

“Tk you for all your messages! I never had so much positive responses coming from a defeat and I am really touched by your support and encouragement. This is me this morning, #NOMAKEUP #NOFILTER , I am healing well, I already miss the gym and I promess to come back stronger! I am ok :)! —————– Merci pour tout vos messages, je n’ai jamais reçu autant de message positif venant d’une défaite et je suis vraiment touché par votre support et vos encouragements! C’est moi ce matin sans maquillage sans filtre, je guérit bien, le gym me manque déjà et je promet de revenir en force! #UFC193 #UFC #ATTFamily #thankful”

With the swelling gone down on her face, Letourneau seems to be in great spirits with the support of her fans. After the loss, she actually moved up two spots in the UFC rankings and will likely look to get back to the Octagon to collect some wins.
