Ramsey Nijem vs. Carlos Diego Ferreira Set For UFC 177

A lightweight fight between Ramsey Nijem and Carlos Diego Ferreira has been announced for UFC 177, which will take place next month in Sacramento, California.

Nijem, who made it to the finals on TUF season 13, has won five of seven fights since losing at the finale to Tony Ferguson. Nijem is riding a two fight win streak after his impressive finish of Beneil Dariush back in April. Nijem is currently 9-4 MMA, 5-3 UFC.

His opponent, Carlos Diego Ferreira, is fresh off a very quick performance against Colton Smith. Just two weeks ago he choked Smith out in 38 seconds at UFC Fight Night 44. That was also his UFC debut. Ferreira is undefeated in MMA with a record of 10-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC.

UFC 177 goes down August 30. at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California. The main event will feature T.J. Dillashaw as he defends his bantamweight title for the first time against the man he took it from, Renan Barao.
