Ronda Who? Miesha Tate: ‘I’ll Fight Cyborg At Catchweight, I’m Not Scared’
It seems the rivalries between Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate and Rousey and Cyborg have now morphed into a big rivalry triangle.
During recent Q and A for the UFC, women’s bantamweight fighter Miesha Tate was asked about a potential fight with Cris Cyborg at a catchweight, a women that many think is the only person who can give Rousey a run for her money.
Here’s what Tate had to say:
“That’s my job. I have to fight anyone they put in front of me and obviously I’m not scared of anyone. So yes, I would (fight her at catchweight). But I heard Cyborg is signed to fight at 135, so I would prefer to fight her in my weight class. If they had a 125, I’d like to go down, but they don’t, so it’s 135 for me.”
Rousey has been criticized for not jumping at a fight with Cyborg at a catchweight, since Cyborg has yet to be able to make the 135 lb. weight limit for bantamweight. Do you think Tate would really take that fight or is she just trying to mess with Rousey?
