Rony Jason To Sue CABMAA If Drug Test Is Reversed
Rony Jason walked into controversy after his swift first round win over Damon Jackson at UFC Fight Night 67 in May. Jason was quickly suspended from competition after CABMMA revealed he had tested positive for a banned diuretic. The suspension is expected to last nine months, but Jason is hoping to prove his innocence with his second sample.
“CABMMA informed me that the sample B will be tested on July 15,” Jason told MMA Fighting. “My lawyer is going to Las Vegas to follow the entire procedure. I’m doing everything I can to revert this result. After we revert the result, we will sue CABMMA for (moral and material) damages.”
“I was taking an anti-inflammatory, and it was really strong,” said Jason. “I have my lawyer, my doctor and my coaches taking care of this for me.”
