Rony Jason and Jeremy Stephens opened up the main-card on Fox Sports 1 with a fight that ended in a highlight-reel knockout. Unfortunatly for Jason, he was the one getting knocked out. To make things worse, it was in front of his hometown crowd.

Rumors were flying around during the event that Rony Jason had been transported to the hospital, but not because of the devastating knockout kick. When asked what happened, UFC President Dana White answered honestly.

“He punched a wall and had to be transported to the hospital. That’s exactly what happened. He punched his arm through the wall and sliced the back of his arm wide open… I don’t know how deep it is or how serious it is.” White replied.

When asked of his opinion on the situation, White answered, “This stuff happens, man. Especially young guys, a big loss like that, you know… you do stupid stuff sometimes. I don’t think he expected to slice his arm open and get hurt.”

This was Rony Jason’s first loss inside the octagon. Hopefully for his well-being, it will be his last.
