Rousey: ‘Every PPV Could Be My Last’
UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey made headlines recently when she revealed that she really doesn’t plan on fighting for much longer.
She is currently 28 years old and said she doesn’t plan on going past 31 or 32.
While at yesterday’s UFC ‘GO BIG’ press conference Rousey was asked about her comments and reiterated that she does plan on retiring in the not so distance future, but has yet to make a final decision on the exact time.
She claims that she reassesses after every fight and that realistically every PPV fight could be her last. She expects to keep fighting after the Holly Holm fight, but hey, you never know.
Check it out!
“I kind of reassess after every fight, but I think it’s good for people to know that I’m not going to be around forever either. I’m going to beat Holly and I’m going to reassess. I’m not retiring after Holly, it’s not going to be that soon, but I’m getting up there,” Rousey said.
“I haven’t just been doing MMA the last five years. I’ve been fighting since I was 11. There’s going to be a point where I’m ready to move on with my life and I’d rather plan for it instead of fall into it like I did after the Olympics. You better buy every, single pay-per-view because that might be my last one.”
