Rousey Wants to ‘Beat the Crap Out of Cyborg’ In Her Last UFC Fight
Ronda Rousey will be stepping into the octagon at UFC 190 to defend her bantamweight championship for the seventh time. Her opponent, Bethe Correia, is undefeated but Rousey vows to walk right through her while making her suffer.
Afterwards, the future of Rousey’s fight career is undecided. While she will likely defend the championship against the winner of Tate/Eye at UFC on FOX 16, there is a glimmer of hope that her fight with Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino could come to fruition.
Rousey stated during a recent media scrum for UFC 190 that she envisions her last fight with the UFC being against “Cyborg”. “I have this idea in my mind that my final fight would be just beating the crap out of Cris Cyborg and then when Dana puts the belt on me the last time, I can take it off and hand it back to him.”
One issue must be resolved in order for Rousey to fight “Cyborg”; The two fighters need to agree on a weight class. “Cyborg” believes the cut down to bantamweight from featherweight would impact her performance in the fight, while Rousey refuses to do a catchweight bout.
When asked if she wants the fight to take place, Rousey said, “I really do. But it’s entirely up to her. I’m not gonna go chasing her around. She’s not entitled to have me chase her around. She’s the fraud that got defamed. And if you can make 145 pumped full of steroids, you can get off of it and drop.”
