Sam Alvey suffers broken jaw in training

Unfortunate news broke this morning that UFC middleweight Smile’n Sam Alvey had suffered a broken jaw in training that would prevent him from fighting Daniel Sarafian at UFC FN 82 on February 21st.

Alvey spoke to MMA Latest, and revealed that he took a kick to the face in training, however he didn’t give a timetable for his return to the Octagon.

With just under two months until the event, Alvey will be forced to watch the event go down from the sidelines while the UFC will likely find a replacement for the event.

The event goes down from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and will also feature bouts between Cody Garbrandt & John Lineker, and Joe Riggs & Chris Camozzi.
