“Showtime” Pettis inks sponsorship deal with Reebok

By Chris Taylor - June 30, 2014

UFC lightweight champion Anthony “Showtime” Pettis may not be fighting until January of 2015, but that hasn’t stopped him from doing some big deals outside of the cage.

Last week, it was announced that Pettis had joined “Team Wheaties” and would be featured on the front of the company’s popular cereal box.

Today, “Showtime” announced that he has inked a deal with Reebok, joining Johny Hendricks and Rampage Jackson as fighters to secure sponsorships with the sneaker and apparel company:

“It’s cool that they chose me,” Pettis told MMAFighting.com “I’m sure they had a lot of guys they could’ve chose from and they wanted to choose me. For me, it’s an amazing opportunity.”

He continued:

“I definitely worked hard to be where I’m at right now and it’s cool to see it all unfold, see the brands that are recognizing mixed martial arts like that.”
