Team Velasquez Not Worried About Werdum’s Ground Game

“I think a lot of people underestimate Cain’s jiujitsu. He is a legit black belt under Leandro Vieira, and he does train with the best grappler on the planet at the present time, which is ‘Buchecha’ (Marcus Almeida). So, me, I watch those guys go, I’m not afraid of Cain going to the ground with anybody, especially in MMA.”

In an interview with ‘The MMA Hour’, Javier Mendez, the head coach of UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, discussed the UFC’s next heavyweight title challenger, Fabricio Werdum.

Werdum is guaranteed a title shot after decimating Travis Browne last weekend in Orlando.
