Tim Kennedy discusses ‘Hunting Hitler’ and his future in MMA
Tim Kennedy hasn’t fought in the UFC since losing to Yoel Romero at UFC 178 via controversial TKO. Since then Kennedy has been extremely outspoken in regards to the UFC’s uniform deal with Reebok, and has stated several times that he won’t return to fighting unless the opportunity is right.
In addition Kennedy has found work as an actor, most notably in ‘Range 15’ which is a raunchy zombie movie that features several other high-profile MMA fighters (Read about that by clicking THIS LINK).
Recently however, Kennedy has been filming for a History Channel series called “Hunting Hitler” and with how it’s been going, it doesn’t sound like he will be returning to the Octagon any time soon.
He spoke to MMAJunkie to discuss the show, as well as his future in the UFC:
“I was like, wait, Hitler died in 1945. Everybody knows this. This is ridiculous, and I don’t want to waste my time with some stupid conspiracy stuff. But the more involved I got, and the more research they sent me, the more questions it raised.”
“I have so many of these opportunities right now. If you want me to fight, you’ve got to give me a guy I can’t wait to sink my teeth into. Otherwise, it’s not worth it. I don’t need the money. I make way more money doing this stuff, and I don’t get brain damage traveling to some of the most beautiful places on the planet with a $2 million-per-episode budget trying to find a war criminal. It’s way more fun.”
