UFC 186 Results: Bisping Picks Up Decision Win Over Dollaway

By bjpenndotcom - April 25, 2015

Michael Bisping WINS

Michael Bisping showed evolution tonight as he introduced new aspects of his striking game. He did not shy away from throwing spinning back kicks to the body or jumping high kicks. Dollaway, at the same time, kept pushing through these unorthodox strikes and it created an exciting back-and-forth scrappy fight.

Bisping was dropped early on in the first round with a hook to the chin, but he was able to recover quickly. Dollaway tried to run up and finish the fight, but Bisping invited him to the ground which led to a scramble and ultimately both men made it back to their feet.

Bisping proceeded to pick Dollaway apart with combinations, but Dollaway would answer right back with a strike of his own upon separation. Dollaway tried to work the takedown gameplan in the second and third rounds, but Bisping’s defense was on point. If Dollaway eventually took him down, Bisping’s ability to make it back to his feet is second to none and he executed every time.

By the time the judges’ decision was read, it was obvious that Bisping had outstruck Dollaway. Dollaway won an exciting first round, but Bisping came back in typical Bisping fashion and did exactly what he needed to do to pull out the victory.

Michael Bisping def. CB Dollaway by way of Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
