UFC 193 Reebok Payout: Holly Holm takes home $30,000 in sponsorship money

By BJPENN.COM News - November 15, 2015

“UFC 193” has come and gone and it will go down in history as one of the most shocking cards the company has ever produced. Over fifty-thousand screaming fans packed the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia to watch Holly Holm knock Ronda Rousey out cold in the second round of their main-event championship bout.

Each fighter rocked their freshest Reebok gear to the octagon and got a bit of a kickback from it due to the exclusive sponsorship deal. The total payout for the card tallied up to $245,000.

This is NOT a full payout report for the paychecks they earned for their fights in the octagon. This is an estimated payout report for their Reebok sponsorship alone. Check out the full report below as reported by MMA Junkie:

Fans and fighters alike were not thrilled when the UFC revealed their method of how they will be paying the fighters with Reebok’s sponsorship money. Fighters less than six octagon appearances to their name will only make $2,500. 6-10 fights in the UFC will get you $5,000. For 11-15 octagon appearances, fighters will make $10,000 and an extra $5,000 for 16-20 fights. Long-time UFC fighters with more than 20 fights will receive $20,000.

Title challengers and champions will receive a bit more, regardless of how long they have been part of the UFC. Challengers will receive $30,000 while champions get $40,000.

Of course, the fighters above have the option to sign sponsors they can represent outside of the octagon. What do you think of the “UFC 193” payouts? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
