UFC Boss Explains Why Arlovski & Not Tim Sylvia
Last week we learned that Tim Sylvia had jump started his campaign to return to the UFC with a Facebook group and a direct and clear call-to-action for his loyal fan following.
With Arlovski’s recent signing, it seemed like the former champ may have had a shot at his dream fight in Maine.
UFC President Dana White said no way, but the boss has good reason.
“Tim Sylvia, I think he’s 0-3-1 in his last four fights. It’d be tough to bring him in to the UFC with [that record] outside the UFC. [Arlovski’s] on a win streak. I like him. I have a lot of respect for him and his people.
“[Tim] left the UFC to go fight somewhere else. People think that because he did that, I have some – I never, ever fault somebody for trying to better their life, and he had a better deal. This ain’t fucking Bellator. A guy tries to better his life, we’re not going to try to destroy the guy and sue him to death and hold up his career and do that.”
