UFC Boss Thinks Miocic vs. Hunt ‘Could Have Been Stopped Sooner’

Well instead of UFC president Dana White at the podium, we had Tom Wright, the man in charge of overseeing UFC’s Canada, New Zealand and Australia operations. During the post-fight press conference Wright said that in his opinion the fight between Stipe Miocic and Mark Hunt could have ended sooner. Here’s what he said.

“They probably could have stopped it sooner.”

“In the end, I’m not standing right on top of these two guys. Mark Hunt is as tough as they come and Stipe demonstrated his skills. It is what it is and you can’t change it now.”

A lot of people watching this fight could see that the fight probably should have been stopped in the third. Mark Hunt is of course one of the toughest guys in the UFC, but his own toughness may have caused a lot of unnecessary punishment.
