UFC Champ dos Anjos Out 3 Months With Fractured Nose, Torn MCL

Fight fans will have to wait awhile for the new UFC champ to return to action.

Rafael dos Anjos will need to heal up before he can return to training. The champ will undergo surgery for a fractured nose, and rehab a partially torn MCL for three-months.

UFC Tonight confirmed the news on Wednesday night’s broadcast.

“dos Anjos is a little banged up from the fight against Pettis at UFC 185,” said the show. “He had his MRI on his knee and has a partially torn MCL and is out for three months. He doesn’t need surgery on it, but does need surgery on his nose and will have it next week.”
